Jensten Underwriting strengthens Fleet proposition following the addition of new capacity from Zurich.
Designed for fleets of 3–20 vehicles, the product can also accommodate eligible risks with 2–6 HGVs over 5t GVW. Target trades include General Distribution, Haulage, Construction and a range of Commercial Trades.
The proposition combines more competitive rating with the flexible, broker-focused underwriting approach for which Jensten Underwriting is known.
Key product features include:
- Fleet-rated and NCD-rated risks considered
- NCD conversions considered where supported by strong bonus levels
- Variable excess options
- Optional driver restriction
- Drivers under 25 considered
The team is particularly interested in established businesses with at least two years’ Confirmed Claims Experience. Company-owned vehicles can be considered, alongside up to two vehicles owned by company directors or their spouses, subject to the applicable underwriting criteria.
Chris Davison, Head of Motor & Motor Trade at Jensten Underwriting, said:
“The appointment of Zurich as our primary capacity provider marks a significant step forward for our Fleet proposition. It has allowed us to enhance our competitiveness and further strengthen the proposition we offer brokers and their clients. Combined with a clear appetite, experienced underwriters, responsive service, and a pragmatic approach to underwriting, we believe we have a compelling solution for Fleet business. Our new rates are already live, and we welcome enquiries on suitable opportunities.”
The product is not designed for family fleets, taxis or courier operations. New ventures without an established trading or claims history and risks involving drivers over 69 fall outside the standard appetite.
